Kakamega County Football Clubs

Salama International, Inc., has adopted two football clubs, Milla FC and LUBINU. Football is more than a game—it is a powerful tool for leadership, unity, and community development. Through our football program, local church-supported teams come together to compete with excellence and sportsmanship while building strong character, teamwork, and responsibility. The field becomes a place where young people develop confidence, discipline, integrity, and leadership skills that carry into everyday life. Each match and training session helps strengthen relationships across communities, encourage positive role models, and promote service beyond the game—so that even in competition, teams work together to uplift their communities and create a culture of peace, respect, and opportunity.

Our teams compete on the field but serve Christ together beyond the field.

Player → Mentor → Community Leader → Ministry Volunteer

Through Football for Christ, Salama International, Inc. intentionally develops young people beyond the game. Players are discipled and mentored to grow in character, leadership, and faith and are encouraged to use what they learn to serve others. As participants mature, they move from being players on the field to mentors for younger teammates, emerging community leaders, and active ministry volunteers within their local churches. This pathway creates a sustainable cycle of leadership—raising up Christ-centered role models who strengthen families, build unity among teams and churches, and help transform their communities through service.
